Choose Your Hard.

Hey guys,

I’ve been thinking about this lately.

Waking up early to train is hard.

Dragging yourself to the gym when you don't feel like it is hard.

Saying no to fast food when you're craving it is hard.

Lifting heavy, running when you're tired, staying consistent when progress feels slow...

All of it is hard.

But you know what else is hard?

Feeling weak in your own body.

Getting out of breath doing basic things.

Having poor health because you spent years neglecting yourself.

Looking in the mirror and knowing you could've taken better care of yourself.

The truth is, life is going to be hard either way.

You can experience the temporary discomfort of taking care of yourself now...

Or eventually experience the consequences of constantly avoiding it.

And I think that's something people get wrong about discipline.

Discipline isn't choosing between something hard and something easy.

A lot of the time, you're choosing which hard you'd rather live with.

Training hurts.

But becoming stronger feels fucking good.

Eating better requires sacrifice.

But having more energy and taking care of your health is worth it.

Getting started sucks sometimes.

But looking back six months from now and knowing you actually kept going?

That's worth it.

You don't need to completely change your life tomorrow either.

Go for a walk.

Do your first workout.

Cook one better meal.

Then do it again.

Choose the hard that builds you.

Your future self will be glad you did.
