I think the underdog stories in anime will always be the most motivating ones.
Naruto becoming Hokage.
Sung Jin-Woo becoming the strongest.
Asta chasing the title of Wizard King without any magic.
Luffy going from some random kid in a barrel to becoming a Yonko.
These stories hit different.
And I think I know why.
Because we saw them before anyone believed in them.
We saw Naruto when the entire village looked down on him.
We saw Jin-Woo when he was literally known as the weakest hunter.
We saw Asta getting laughed at for dreaming of becoming Wizard King when he couldn't even use magic.
We watched them when they were weak.
When they weren't respected.
When their dreams sounded fucking ridiculous to everyone around them.
And then slowly...
We watched them become exactly who they said they would become.
That's why when Naruto finally became Hokage, it almost felt personal.
It was like watching your best friend finally become the person he told you he was going to become years ago.
But here's something I've realised.
Even when these characters were weak, there was already something different about them.
Naruto wasn't Hokage yet.
Luffy wasn't a Yonko.
Jin-Woo wasn't the strongest.
Asta wasn't the Wizard King.
But they already had the mindset of someone who could become those things.
They believed before there was evidence to believe.
They kept getting back up.
They kept training.
They kept moving forward when everyone around them would've understood if they quit.
In a weird way...
They were champions before they ever became champions.
The title just came later.
And I think that's where anime crosses over into real life.
Maybe right now you're nowhere near the person you want to become.
Maybe you're broke.
Maybe you're weak.
Maybe you're overweight.
Maybe your business isn't working.
Maybe nobody takes what you're trying to build seriously.
Maybe you tell people what you want to become and they look at you like you're fucking delusional.
Good.
Because this is the part of the story nobody celebrates yet.
You're still in the beginning.
And you have something those characters have too.
The ability to keep going.
You can't control how talented you were born.
You can't control where you started.
You can't control whether people believe in you.
But you can control whether you quit.
And if you genuinely refuse to give up, your story isn't finished.
That's what I love about underdogs.
Being underestimated makes the ending better.
Nobody cares about the guy who started at the finish line.
We remember the person who had every reason to quit...
and somehow fucking made it anyway.
So if you feel behind right now, don't be ashamed of this part.
One day, this might be the part of your story you're most proud of.
You're not supposed to look like the finished product yet.
You're still in your Training Arc.
And if you’re ready to take your own Training Arc seriously, we built something to help you along the way.
