Anime Taught Us How to Keep Going.

Hey guys,

I’ve been thinking about this lately.

Growing up, anime was always just entertainment.

Something you watched after school. Something your parents probably thought you’d eventually grow out of 😂

But the older I get, the more I realise how much anime actually taught me about dealing with real life.

Look at Naruto.

He grew up alone. People hated him for something he couldn’t control. He was rejected, laughed at and underestimated.

And somehow, he never let that turn him into a bitter person.

Eventually, he even learned to understand Kurama, the same thing inside him that caused him so much pain growing up.

I think there’s something powerful about that.

Sometimes you can’t just run away from the anger, insecurity or pain you’re carrying.

You have to understand it and figure out what you’re going to do with it.

Then you have Guts from Berserk.

That man has every reason imaginable to give up.

He loses people he loves. He gets betrayed. His life is basically one horrible thing after another.

And yet…

he keeps walking forward.

Not because he’s okay.

Sometimes he’s very fucking far from okay 😂

He just refuses to let everything that happened to him be the end of his story.

Then there’s Asta.

Born without magic in a world where magic is everything.

Everyone tells him his dream is impossible.

So he controls the one thing he actually can.

He trains.

And I think that’s what I loved about these characters growing up.

They struggle with completely different things, but the lesson always feels similar.

Life can be unfair.

You can lose.

You can feel completely broken.

You can start with less than everyone around you.

But you still get to decide what you do next.

It sounds a little stupid saying fictional characters helped you through real problems 😂

But if you grew up watching anime, you probably know exactly what I mean.

Sometimes an anime scene genuinely hits harder than someone telling you “everything will be okay.”

Because anime doesn’t always tell you everything will be okay.

Sometimes it tells you:

Yeah, life is hard.

Things won’t always go your way.

People will disappoint you.

There will be times where you have no idea what the fuck you’re doing.

But that doesn’t mean your story ends there.

And maybe that’s one of the biggest things anime gave a lot of us growing up.

The belief that you can always keep going.

You might be in a bad chapter right now.

That doesn’t mean it’s the last one.

Keep going.

START YOUR OWN TRAINING ARC ⚡

That feeling anime gave me growing up is a big reason I created Project Elevate.

I wanted to turn that motivation into something you could actually use while working on yourself in real life.

Train, complete challenges, progress through your phases and unlock cinematic anime training playlists and rewards as you go.

We’ve spent years watching our favourite characters become stronger.

Maybe it’s time to work on our own story too.
