Not your teammates.
Not your friends.
Not even your family.

Just two.

The 8-year-old you, full of dreams.
The 80-year-old you, full of memories.

They’re watching you right now.

That younger version of you still exists deep inside. They had no fear. No doubt. Just pure ambition, waiting to see if you would chase the dream they once whispered in the mirror.

And then there’s the older version of you, the one who knows how fast time fades. The one who would give anything for one more shot.

They don’t care about your status.
They don’t care about validation.
They don’t care about the wins, the failures, or what anyone else thought.

They just want to see you try. To see you go after what truly matters.

They just want you to be present.
To love the now, to laugh a little longer, and to cherish what you have before it’s gone.

If, in this moment, the child sees their hero and the elder sees a life without regret, then you’re on the right path.

So, keep going. Keep pushing. Keep becoming the person they’ll both be proud of.
